Birfday

For my birfday this year, we kept it pretty simple.  We stayed home and made homemade pizzas.  I would rather hang with my awesome family than go out and do anything else.
Robb got me a spa day so today Heather and I went to indulge ourselves a little.
These are some of the wonderful things I did.
A little of this. . .
A smidgen of this. . .

Some of this. . .
Even a bit of this. . .
And a lot of this. . . .
Thanks honey for a day of relaxing and rejuvenation. A little alone time is sometimes just what a girl needs.
And, speaking of feet, heres a cute little story about Bobby:
He likes to have his clothes perfect and neat and when his shoes got a little scuffed, he asked how he could clean them.  I mentioned bleach.  Well, what his l2 year old brain went to was "I should pour half a bottle of bleach in the sink and soak them for a few hours and then I will put them in the dryer so they are dry for school tomorrow.  I received a call at work from my son telling me his shoes were falling apart.  I dismissed him, telling him he would be fine.  Well, when he got home from school, this is what his shoes looked like.  He was so embarrassed that he had to walk around school all day like that. Not only did they look silly but they made a flopping sound whenever he took a step.

Staind/Chevelle

Kymbre and I went to a Chevelle/Staind concert Friday at Sunset Station in Henderson.  This is an outside venue and I have to say that I hope I never have to go to a concert inside again.  I didnt come home smelling like smoke or feeling high from all the people blatantly smoking weed around us.
We got there on time without getting lost once, and the weather was perfect.  The bands were all great and I got to spend some one on one time with one of my favorite people in the world.

That Time of Year Again

Its Kite Festival time again!
Since my kids are getting a little too old to still want to go, I have to adopt/kidnap, whatever you want to call it, other peoples kids to go.
Luckily, my wonderful son decided to "sacrifice" his weekend and come with me.
This is me trying to put Bobbys kite together.  You wont see pictures of him flying it because I actually could not figure it out.
Bobby flying Trevors kite. . .
And me tanning.
Bobby shuffling. . . .
And me tanning. . . .
Bobby eating. . .
And me tanning.
Bobby blowing bubbles. . .
And me tanning.
I guess Bobby came to the conclusion that if he wanted mom time today, he needed to join me in the tanning activity.
Bobby is such a good sport.  Not only did he spend the day with his mom, he also played with Trevor.  I really couldnt ask for a better son.  He just melts my heart.
Trevor and Heather.
Thanks for coming with us!
Let's do it again next year!!
